Our process for getting the best SEO for banks

On a basic level, a website must use search engine optimized terms to get noticed (and ranked higher) by Google, Bing and the rest. It takes quite a bit of research to determine which words and phrases your target audience will type into a search engine, how often those words are likely to be used in a month’s time and how many other sites are competing for those keywords.

Phase 1: SEO Research

We start by performing a full-scale SEO audit, reviewing your website’s traffic to set a benchmark for stats such as unique visitors, page views, bounce rate and percent of new visits. Next, we review which keywords are currently directing traffic to the site from search engines and work with you to develop a list of additional keywords. From there, we analyze the long list of possible keywords and other related terms to determine which phrases are likely to have the most impact. At the same time, we evaluate any inbound links to your site.

In addition to understanding your website’s rankings, it is important to know the rankings of your competitors. We typically perform an SEO analysis on five competitors.

Phase 2: SEO Recommendations

Using the data gathered in Phase 1, we devise a list of SEO tactics to improve search engine rankings, providing a “cheat sheet” of the most-searched-for terms, along with SEO recommendations for keyword placements and a link-building strategy.

Phase 3: SEO Tactics

If included in the project scope, we also will provide SEO copywriting and, following revisions and/or approval from you, insert the new text into the website. Otherwise, it is up to the client to integrate the SEO recommendations into their website copywriting.

Phase 4: Ongoing SEO Analysis

Because the internet is always in a state of flux, it’s important not only to track the effectiveness of a search engine optimization strategy, but also reanalyze keywords. As necessary, adjustments should be made based on changes to search engine practices and algorithms.

We typically review SEO quarterly as part of our website analytics report, providing reports with updated competitive analyses, recent inbound links and a general snapshot of relevant SEO data.
